Part Time Work
Everyone here is always great with ideas so I thought I'd ask for a little brainstorming.
I need to earn some extra income for the next year. Around $400 a month. Does anyone have any ideas on where the best place to look? It would be for evenings or weekends. I ideally would like to work no more than 20 hours a week, 15 hours a week preferred. I'd prefer not to go back into retail, but will as a last resort.

Re: Part Time Work
I think Amazon was opening up a bunch of work from home part time jobs. That's the first place I would check!

I would wait tables. When I was in law school I could only work Fri-Sun and on a bad weekend I would make 300 and a good weekend I would make 500. So you could make much more than that and bank it so you wouldn't need to work as long.

Starbucks was a great place to work years ago -- they paid well and although I always came home smelling like coffee, it wasnt a bad gig.

This. I have never been a waitress (way too clumsy), but someone I work with waitresses on the weekend and it amazes me how much she brings home. She always says she is going to give it up because she is so tired, but she can't walk away from the money.

Re: Part Time Work
Any interest in babysitting? So many moms in my town looking for before and after school hours. My sitter who does morning and after school makes 400 a week for 16-20 hours a week.

Re: Part Time Work
I definitely would be interested in babysitting but I work 7-5 currently so I'm not sure how much use I'd be to anyone, but if you have an idea of where I could post my services that would be awesome

Re: Part Time Work
If you like animals, you can do home boarding. You can charge $40-$50 per day for that
you can also do something like Avon
Telemarketing

Re: Part Time Work
How about working for a catering company on the weekends? This time of the year they are very busy with fall weddings etc Sometimes easier than waitressing at a regular restaurant.
