pampers blow outs
Since we moved to the size 2 diapers about a month ago, just about every poopy diaper causes a blow out up the back. It's not fun (duh).
DS is definitely the right weight for size 2 diapers (he's about 16-17 pounds now and they're supposed to be until 18)
These are Pampers Swaddlers, btw. Size 1's were great and we loved them.
Does this mean i'll prob need to switch brands? Any brand recommendations? I always assumed that if the size 1's fit, that larger sizes would all fit too. Stinks that it's obviously not the case.

pampers blow outs
I've found that my dd starts blowing out of em a few pounds before the max with the swaddlers... I would def move up a size before you totally switch to a diff brand. My dd needs size 3 now and I'm switching from the swaddlers to cruisers since she looks like she's ready to be on then go!

Re: pampers blow outs
I think Size 1 is supposed to go until 14lbs and Size 2 starts at 12lbs for an overlap. DD was in Size 2 at 10lbs. So I would go by the fit not the lbs.

pampers blow outs
I had to switch to size 3 around 14 pounds bc DD was leaking out the legs every time. They say they start at 16 pounds I think but they fit her great before that. We use luvs though. She was in size 2's for a very short time.

Re: pampers blow outs
I am a loyal Pampers user for my LO and found that everytime we had leaks (never had a blow out) it meant we needed to move up to the next size in the diapers. Try that before switching brands.

I had to switch to cruisers. I think the back is a bit higher but we still have the occasional up the back poop.

Huggies!!!
They have elastic in the back.
Life. Saver.
Also I think the recommended weights are BS.

This. I had so many blowouts and leaks with Pamper Swaddlers. I switched to huggies and have not have a blowout or leak since.

Re: pampers blow outs
The weight on the diapers mean NOTHING!!! Go up a size... DS barely weighs 30 lbs and is in size 6!!!

Re: pampers blow outs
I find that it makes more sense to go up a size when you are about 2lbs away from the limit. The lower size usually starts about 4lbs before anyways. I also switched to cruisers around size 3. I had the worse blowouts with huggies.
