Painting the Nursery
How many weeks were you? I don't want to do it to soon but I want the room to have plenty of time to air out (even though I'll use low VOC paint) before LO arrives.

and for the same reasons you posted -- we wanted the room to have plenty of time to air out.

ours was painted this past saturday, and not with low VOC paint. can barely smell anything at all anymore, and the windows were only open 1x, for like 2 hours, because of how crummy the weather has been.

Ok, I wanted to have DH do it within the next few weeks but I didn't know if that was jumping the gun  I feel better now! I feel silly starting things too soon but at the same time I can't wait!

We didn't use low VOC either. We used a painter and bought the brand (BM) he worked with. I was out of the house the day he painted (Saturday) and the smell was gone by Monday. We waited till 36 weeks, moved the furniture in and decorated at 37 weeks. I had already unpacked and washed everything. I wanted it done earlier (DH was dragging his feet on work in the room that had to be done), but now I'm glad we waited b/c the room being all set up makes me want here now!!!!!!!!!!!!
