painting garage floor
Hi Thinking about painting my garage floor just to spruce it up a bit before putting all my stuff away in there for winter.
Anyone do this, any tips?
It is a cement floor.

Re: painting garage floor
My husband just did ours. He bought a kit at Lowes that had all the things he needed to paint. he got the one that had the confetti type stuff to put down on the floor when the paint was wet.

I painted our garage floor with the same kit a few months ago. It was pretty easy and it really cleaned up the garage.

We're planning on using the above mentioned kit from Lowes in a few years.

Re: painting garage floor
A coworker did this, and he opted to not use the color flakes for his basement. Like he said, if you drop a screw on a solid color floor, it's easy to find. Try finding a small, dark item on a field of small, dark items....
Just something to keep in mind. When I eventually get around to using the epoxy on my basement floor, I won't be using the color flakes for that exact reason.

Good suggestion. I was thinking about this since bugs will be hard to find as well! My next 2 projects are to paint the garage floor and then the basement floor so I will keep this in mind.
