Paint question
My MIL were having a discussion tonight and I thought you girls might have the correct answer for me
When you are pregnant can you paint?
TIA

Re: Paint question
my doc said as long as the room is well ventilated, it's latex paint, and the fumes aren't bothering me, it's totally fine.

Re: Paint question
I think it depends on the OB. My OB's told me no they didn't want me around paint even if it was ventilated - but I know other people's drs okayed it.

Re: Paint question
I'm going to ask the doctor this next week. We are planning on using no-VOC paint, I don't know if that will make a difference.

Re: Paint question
Mine said it was fine after the 1st trimester as long as the room was ventilated and the smell didn't bother me -

Re: Paint question
I know I have read articles that say you shouldn't really paint and that the room should be aired out for 1-2 mths before baby enters the room. I know my mother painted when pg with us back then.....when DH painted (latex paint) I would occasionally pop in the room to see the progress, but we kept all windows and doors open. My sense of smell is definitely more acute right now.

Re: Paint question
I painted when I was pregnant the first time. It's okay...just make sure the room is well ventilated.
