Paint Cans
So-- I have been in my apt for almost two years now. We painted every room. Since I live in an apt, and don't have room temperature storage (I do have something the garage but it's like putting something outside).
Anyway-- I have not had to go into my extra paint for touch ups, etc. The paint cans take up a lot of space and I would love to put them somewhere else or get rid of them, but you know the second I do- someone is going to screw up a wall.
What have you all done? Or is this moot since most of you have houses?

Re: Paint Cans
We had extra room in a closet for the paint cans when we were living in the apartment...

Re: Paint Cans
Not sure where you live but the proper way to dispose of them in Brookhaven is this: Open the cans and let the paint dry out- could take several days/weeks depending on humidity. Once they are dry you can throw them out with the regular trash.l

use those stackable Gladware type containers
label each one by room w/the paint color and brand
save only what will fit in one container
That's a good idea! Although, it will be a messy project!

Re: Paint Cans
My DH used to transfer some into a little jar (like the kind jarred gravy comes in).

Or rubbermaid makes special containers with a small roller attached, so that you can do tough ups.

I just looked on their site-- can't find what category they would be in... Do you happen to know what they are called?

Re: Paint Cans
I found them on their site-- it's called the Paint Buddy-- but it's over $50 for one!
ETA-- it's one set that comes with 6... still seems expensive and storage it not as easy as tupperware, etc.
