Pain in upper belly??
I hope that this is a normal feeling. I have felt this feeling before for a few days but it went away. First time I was in the subway at 42nd st and I found myself going up and down the stairs in an effort to get to street level. after that I felt like I pulled a stomach muscle down the top part of my abs. This weekend I got the same feeling and I wasnt doing anything special. I still feel it and I dont know if i should worry that its something other than a pulled muscle.
Has anyone else had this?

Re: Pain in upper belly??
What kins of pain is it? Describe it... It could be round ligament pain or just growing pains... Also how far along are you?

Re: Pain in upper belly??
its not round ligament its high, right under my sternum that goes down to right above my belly button, straight down the middle. If i bend down and get up i feel it and if i push on it its painful. Nothing on the sides just right down the middle. Im going into my 27th week. Does that sound like anything?

Re: Pain in upper belly??
If you have nausea/diarrhea, it could be your gallbladder so you might want to call your OB. If it is just pain, it might be gas! Check with your OB either way because you don't want it to get worse. I had the same pain and was told to take mylicon/gas tablets. HTH! Feel better!

Yes, I was going to say gallbladder too. I've had my fair share of gallbladder issues and it sounds like the pain you're describing. It's pretty common to have gallbladder problems during pregnancy.

Re: Pain in upper belly??
Maybe your abdominal muscles are stretching and separating a bit?

Re: Pain in upper belly??
thanks girls I called the OB today and they had me come in. My BP was high which they took several times so they have me doing a Urine test which I dont think is related to my pain but the OB said that pain in that area could be related to Hypertension or future Preclampsia. So i get to pea in a cup for 24 hrs. Yeah thats gonna be fun. I have to go back in 2 days. So i got a mandatory take 2 days off to do nothing. Most likely its my stomach muscles stretching and not my GB I had those pains before i got preg and know that feeling.
I appreciate the responses.
