pain after epidural
Today I am feeling pain where my epidural was put in. It feels like a tight pain in my back and I am very uncomfortable. Is this common? I also have a really bad headache and I hope it isn't related at all. Any feedback?

Does the headache go away when you lay flat on your back?

Re: pain after epidural
I had it too, it was an annoying pain, I had to have my DH rub it to make it feel better, my DR said it would take a few weeks to go away, but it was hard for me to sit for to long.

Re: pain after epidural
I had something called "spinal headaches" for a week after delivery. It was caused from the epidural. They put me on Darvaset (sp?) to get rid of them and said it is common.
They said if the headaches didn't go away in a week after deliver I would have to get the spot fused - it would be another procedure similar to an epidural - to get rid of it.
I sometimes have slight back pain where I had the epidural, more annoying than anything though ...
