Ovulation Pains?
I've been having what feels like sharp twinges in my left ovary all day. They come and go and aren't too painful. I decided to take a OPK just for the hell of it (I have PCOS, so these aren't very accurate for me), and to my surprise I saw 2 lines. The control, and a faint but noticeable second line. Never had that before. Does this mean I am close to ovulating? I know that the test line has to be darker than the control, but has anyone ever experience these twinges close to ovulation time? I'm trying to not psych myself up but since this pain is new to me, I'm hoping this is an indication that ovulation is near. DH plan to  the rest of this week, and this weekend to cover our bases just in case. Even though our RE said we would have to go the IUI/IVF route, I'm crossing my fingers

If the test line was light you are likely at least a few days away from Oing. You will get a positive about 36 hours prior to ovulation. If you feel O, you would feel it the day of, when it's ready to burst. Likely you're not feeling O if you did not have a +OPK.
Ovulation pains are not so common, so I wouldn't count on feeling them. The only time I've ever felt it was when I had multiple follies and had triggered O.

i generally don't get ovulation pans before i ovulate, but once i did the trigger, i did feel it. a bit of discomfort but nothing major, like you described.

I took a opk late last night, and there was 2 lines again, the test line a little darker than the previous. But when I woke up this morning, no pain or discomfort whatsoever. I didn't take a opk, but DH and I have no plans this weekend, so it's time 
eta- I called my RE and spoke with a nurse and she said what NYCGirl80 said- if it's not a +opk than I'm not ovulation pain. The only way to see for sure is to come in for testing. DH's new insurance doesn't kick in until the end of the month, so we'll be making an appt for the end of the month
