Ovulation Pain?
I think I might have ovulated
I had a d&c on 12-3...so a little over 2 weeks later (this past weekend) I had pain on my left side around the inner groin area and in towards the middle...it hurt when I pressed it - it felt tender like where my ovary would be and also above my pubic bone but under my belly button also hurt - the whole are was sensitive when I pressed - kind of like a gas pain, I was even thinking a hernia, appendicitis, or infection from the procedure...I was also getting twinges, dull aches but not cramps....
Now it's gone...
When it started I began monitoring my temp (body temperature orally for infection). I've been really nervous about getting an infection post d&c....I had just finished a round of antibiotics but then I started getting weird pain and I got nervous - my DH told me I was being crazy of course...but my #1 fear after d&c is infection b/c I heard that can leave you infertile so of course I've been paranoid with the infection thing...
Is it posible to have ovulation pains like that? The month I got my bfp I remember feeling all sorts of weirdness and pains on the right side (and the sono tech confimed that I o'd from the right side for that pregnancy) but I wasn't over analyzing as much as I am now...since the surgery I will admit that I am paranoid and I can tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac ...
But anyway, do you think it could have had something to do with ovulating? Or maybe was just gas or something weird like that? Or maybe I'm just crazy?
I guess I'll know better in 2 weeks - if AF shows than I can assume I had a painful ovulation...

Re: Ovulation Pain?
I'm sorry for your loss
It's hard to decipher what kind of pain it is since everyones ovulation pains or pain in general is different. For me when I feel ovulation pain I can't quite put my finger on it, kind of like dull cramps but I can't touch a spot and say it's right here...kwim? If that makes sense. Have you ever had ovulation pain before? From the location you described it does sound like it could be O pains.

thankyou
i can only remember ovulating once in my lifetime b/c i have been on birth control for the last 8 years (prior to that i was a teen and i def can't remember that far back )....i only o'd one time since coming off the pill and that cycle i got pregnant (and that was the last cycle i've had so far)...
i did remember having weird pains and feelings but that was the whole month on and off and some of them could have been more related to the early pregnancy than ovulation...i did feel tenderness on the right side when i pushed - i can't remember if it was before or after i knew i was pregnant - but i did ovulate from the side i felt pain on...
i have no idea..everything seems strange in that area ever since coming off the pill...my husband keeps telling me to relax b/c i haven't had a real cycle/period in almost 10 years and of course things are going to feel different now since being off the pill i got pregnant right away and then had the miscarriage...but i can't help but freak everytime i think i feel something different...
being on the pill was so much easier

Re: Ovulation Pain?
Based on all of this, I'm going to say it sounds like O pain. Has the pain stopped?
Being on the pill was much easier! When you knew what to expect and when to expect it.
