Ovulation/AF/Implantation question/thoughts
I have been lurking since I joined and thought I might ask you VERY smart women a question and, really, your thoughts.
So I get AF on the same day, every month. Always at the same time.
I have been off the pill for about 5 months and "trying" now for 2. On the pill I got AF on wed. Off the pill I got AF on thursday. Tis has never waiverd.
I get , then CM the next 2 days. Always. I have not actually counted the days, but It seems I always get the on CD 11 or 12. Always. (I have a mental note as to what day I O, but have NOT counted)
So I seem to be spot on with my body. Clockwork. That gives me hope that I will be able to get PG.
So I guess I want your thoughts.
How long does it take from fertilization to implantation?
- I know the answer HAS to be it varies, but I want your thoughts. I guess my real question is if I get AF on the same day every month I would THINK that implantation would happen THAT day. Thats when my egg always hits the uterus.....so why would it travel "faster".
Also, Would it be crazy for me to POAS before my "usual" Thursday AF day???
I know that women POAS from 10ish to 12ish days. But the egg has to implant, THEN give off the beta for the test. For me, could the egg implant earlier than my AF day?????
I know this is sort of rambing and long, and thanks for even reading. I was just looking for some support and thoughts that i'm not crazy :)

7 to 10 days for implantation.. and i think if you really want to get an accurate result w/o the guess work, wait until AF is due or test a day or so later..

You can test early. So many people do and get faint positives. I would rather save money (and my sanity!) and wait until AF is due or late. For me, it's easier that way. I am trying again after a miscarriage and it's going to be a lot harder to resist testing but I am going to try my best to hold out.
I think implantation is supposed to occur sometime the week before AF is due. I could be totally wrong on that though. I don't really know all of the scientifics just the basics like have sex around ovulation and pray!

Re: Ovulation/AF/Implantation question/thoughts
I've heard 7 to 10 days for implantation as well.
Then, from what I understand, it takes about 2 days for the hormone to build up enough to show up on a HPT. That's why some women get a BFP as early as 9DPO, and others don't see a line until 13 or 14DPO (or even later in some cases).
So if you know for sure when you ovulated, it would not be crazy to test at 11 or 12DPO and you may very possibly see a BFP. BUT, just remember that if you don't, it doesn't necessarily mean you aren't pregnant.

Re: Ovulation/AF/Implantation question/thoughts
i agree with PP, it's about 6 to 10 days past ovulation that the egg implants. it actually has to implant before your AF. bascially what happens is, the egg implants and your body starts producing Hcg and progesterone. the progesterone is what keeps AF from coming.
how long is your cycle? i never test before 12DPO.
