Ovulating late
I am yet again having a really strange cycle. I have not ovulated, and my body does not even seem close to ovulation and I am on CD 14. I usually ovulate on CD12 or 13. I am not so much concerned that I have not ovulated yet, but that my body does not even seem close to it.
I started to take mucinex this month and evening primrose, did either of those cause anyone to ovulate late?
Ugg! I am getting frustrated. Why as soon as I TTC do my cycles get all messed up?

Re: Ovulating late
i've taken mucinex a few times and it never affected my O date.
all i can suggest is that stress can have a pretty big effect on your cycle, so maybe that is causing you to O later. or maybe you are just noticing it b/c you are tracking it more closely?
i am finding that my cycle is shorter by about 2-3 days the last few months, ever since i stopped focusing so much on what day i O (stopped using OPKs)

I am using OPK's for the first time this month too! I am almost out, because I had to start to test so early since I usually ovulate early. I don't get it. So strange.

I am definitely not tracking it more closely except that I am using OPK's. So maybe I should quit using the OPK's.

Re: Ovulating late
When we were TTC with DS, the first month I did OPKs I went through a whole pack and had to buy another. I got my surge on day 18.

Re: Ovulating late
The month I got my BFP I used mucinex for the first time. I was also using OPK's. For the 3 months prior I always ovulated on day14. That month though I didn't ovulate until day 19. Not sure if it had anything to do with the mucinex or if I was just having a wacky cycle. Hang in there, you'll ovulate eventually. Good luck!

Re: Ovulating late
try not to worry....I went through the same thing this monht....and ultimately O'd on day 21. Totally unusual. I took robitussin, but that would NOT effect anything. No way.

Re: Ovulating late
I remember you said you were taking vitamin B6 for a short LP. I was thinking of starting it, so I did some research a few days ago and found some people reported a delayed O after a few months of being on it. I'm not sure if that could be it but just thought I would mention it.

Hmmm... Maybe that is it. I took it for a while, then stopped to give my body a break, and just recently started it again. So maybe that is it?
Thanks for letting me know. It really is bothering me. I hate not knowing what is going on.

Re: Ovulating late
Sometimes, and I stress sometimes, a woman has an anovulatory cycle, wherein she does not O. This happens at least once a year to most women. It's not something to worry about though. If, however, you notice that it happens more than once from when you started testing OPKs... then see you doctor.
Try not to freak yourself out. (I know it's easier said than done...) It's normal. Keep testing with your OPK even if you have to up until day 21... I know it's expensive, but if you want to make sure...
FM me if you have any questions!!

I'm taking Mucinex for the first time this month..and I'm O'ing a few days earlier then usual. UGH...I just think our bodies do whatever they want. No rhyme or reason.
