Over-the-knee boots with a high heel?

Do you girls wear them during the day? As casual attire?

I primarily reserved my OTK boots for at night or dressier functions, but it's killing me that I can't wear them during the day and with Spring around the corner, I was hoping to get a few more wears in!

I see girls wearing OTK boots as part of their day time/casual attire, but usually they have a low or no heel.

I'm always in heels and was thinking about wearing these boots while I run errands/hit some stores, but I don't want to look inappropriate.


If you saw a chick wearing those at say Target or the supermarket, would you be wondering "What the heck is she wearing!?!?!"

I have! with either black leggings or skinny jeans, tank/button down and a blazer or with an oversized sweater.. I love the look of it

I know what you mean about feeling uncomfortable. I've only worn mine at night (flats though) b/c I feel like I will be glared at if I wear them during the day. Boot season is almost over so let's just wear them & who cares!

i do! i wear them with leggings (because jeans wont fit in them) and a longer sweater. i love the look.

i have the same pair of boots i would not wear them for casual errands, but i would wear them out to lunch, the mall, etc.

i love the way they look, but yes, i think i'd reserve them for dressier occasions. daily errands i wear flats

I wouldn't wear heels to target or the market.

I would wear them with a blazer and T during the day if I had a special function to go to.

90% OTK with heels = night

OTK no heel = day

As long as the rest of your outfit didn't consist of a minidress - I'd say you're totally 'appropriate' -

Usually just for going out at night. Mine are a little rocker-ish with chains and studs so they're too much to wear during the day. But boy are they HOT!

to work, on casual friday, i have worn black jeggins with OTN high heel boots with a blazer (to cover my azz) and a white blouse with a necklace..so all the attention is not really on my thigh high boots- kwim?

I think I would think it was weird if I saw someone wearing those at the supermarket.

I said "screw it!" and wore them out. To quote my DH "What the heck do you care what other people think? You look hot!"

I wore them over my skinny jeans and a black riding jacket (fitted at the waist), so I wasn't too provocative.

Are your boots too big overall? Even over jeans, mine are way too big. I need to find a shoe/boot guy that can take them in along the whole shaft. They were practically falling down.
