What can you recommend? Want to wear something in my sneakers that will provide support for all day walking. Looking to combat leg tiredness and lower back pain. I bought dr scholl gel inserts on a whim but didn't do much research. Anything you swear by?

Custom orthotics aren't that much. Mine were 200 bucks (without insurance covering it) and I've had them for at least 10 years.

Besides the over the counter things being crap, they are expensive. If I had to be in over the counter ones in those 10 years I would have spent more than 200 dollars.

Call your insurance to see if you are covered and your podiatrist for a price. You may be surprised.

I like these, but I spent a lot of money on trial & error until I found what worked for me & now I think you can only get them online.

Profoot Triad

My issue is more foot & knee pain, and these help, b/c they help with alignment.

If you wear sneakers I suggest going to a store like Runners and getting fitted. SHoes run around $200 and up but if that's what you wear it's so worth it. I have horrible back pain and bad knees/feet. I was struggling to just walk 1/2 a mile to work out. I finally went to runners and got fitted. They were $220 but I easily did 2 miles with in 2wks. I run now. I never knew shoes could make such a difference. My mom was a nurse before she retired and got fitted. It was amazing how much better she felt after her 12+ hours.
