Re: Ovarian Cysts..
I had a small ovarian cyst when i was 20..so thats 10 years ago. If they're over a certain size (i forget how large..) they may remove it. but it needs to be large. Cysts tend to go away on their own. or i went on BC for it. the BC will shrink it/get rid of it and it also regulated my periods that were a mess.
cysts are a common part of the cycle..i wouldnt be alarmed.
i also had sonograms and an MRI b/c of it.

I have had cysts for 15 years. I have endometriosis also and had a laparoscopy to remove both.... I was always in and ut of th ehospital because they used to burst but that was not a common part of it. I just always had it bad.. There are millions of women who have cysts and never even know they have them and conceive in one month or som e who take longer. Im sure you will be fine though. Good luck!!!

Re: Ovarian Cysts..
I have cysts...one ruptured in 2007 and it was the most pain I've ever felt in my entire life. MD said to go on BC to get rid of the cysts but I don't like pills so I opted not to and have not had a problem in 2 years

Thank you both. It helps to know that others have been through this and are ok.

Chris, I have the exact same story as CoutureMaMa, minus the diagnosis of Endometriosis.
I will also be TTC soon! Just know that if you ever want to vent or ask anything about cysts - FM me anytime!!
Sometimes is nice to have someone in the same boat as you!

Re: Ovarian Cysts..
I had a hemorrhagic cyst that was so painful. When I went 2 weeks later for a follow up u/s it was gone. My doctor tole me you can get them throughout your cycle and they can go away on their own.

I had had cysts in the past , one that ruptured when i was 15, but im just concerned with this one because they are sending me for further testing. I was hoping after the sono they would say its ok but they said they need clearer pictures. Thanks again for the support.

Re: Ovarian Cysts..
I can't even tell you how many cysts I've had over the years -- just about every 3 or 4 months I have internal sonos that show cysts on my ovaries. (I'm a PCOS sufferer like so many ladies)
Don't freak--it happens to so many people!

Re: Ovarian Cysts..
I had a cyst. They discovered it in 2006 and my OB monitored it for over a year. Sometimes they dissolve, sometimes they burst. If it gets too big and starts causing pain, then your OB may suggest hacing it removed. If its a fluid-filled cyst, it can be drained. Other times, if its not too big and depending on the type of cyst it can be removed through an outpatient procedure (laparoscopy). I had a bilateral dermoid cyst, which was made of fat, hair, teeth and bone cells By the time I had it removed, it was larger than a grapefruit and I had to have major surgery to get it out.
So, definitely have it monitored and if it needs to be removed, take care of it sooner rather than later!!!
