Ovarian Cyst
I'm pretty sure I have one....well, I know I do. A few months ago, I had gone to the doctor, and he noticed one, but thought it was functional...he said if I'm not pregnant by March (here we are), to come back because he would want to check on it. I have an appointment for Wednesday. For anyone who has one/had one, how did you feel? I just got AF on Wednesday, and I've had pain since then, with it being worse today. Did anyone have to get surgery to get rid of it? And did it affect your ability to get pregnant?

Re: Ovarian Cyst
I used to get them all the time when I was younger. They were painful but even more so when they burst. After they burst, they just disappeared.
It had no impact whatsoever on my ability to get pregnant. I have 2 already and pregnant with my 3rd. They were all conceived within 2 months of trying.

Re: Ovarian Cyst
Wow we are twins.
I have 2. one on each ovary. He said they were functional and not to worry.
This month AF is being a strange witch - Got it on Wednesday and by Thursday night it was almost non-existant. The pain was sure there, but not my period. Then yesterday I was pretty much spotting and then last night gone completely (Again, still crampy). Then BACK with a vengeance this AM.
I'm blaming the cysts because it's never been this erratic before.
Dr. said I should go back by May if I'm not pregnant. I think I'm gonna go in April (if It doesn't happen this month). So many thoughts flying around my mind... I don't want to waste 1 more month.
We have the same cycles and now same cysts! Here's to hoping we get BFP's together too!

I can't believe how similar our bodies are!!! I haven't had any problems with AF; pretty standard each month...so I guess I'll find out on Wednesday what's going on.
for both of us this next cycle!

Re: Ovarian Cyst
I've had cysts over the years. I wound up in the hospital when I was a teenager when I had a simple (fluid filled) cyst burst. It hurt like a mother. Simple cysts are extremely common and usually don't cause issues. The only reason I was hospitalized was because I developed a fever.
When I was in my twenties I developed whats known as a complex/dermoid cyst. It was about the size of an orange and had grown around my left ovary. That cyst had to be surgically removed and I lost half of that ovary.
There was absolutely no issue with having babies and I went on to have 3 healthy children in my thirties.
