Outside shower
Anyone have one? Do you have pics of how it is set up?
DH mentioned this yesterday and I am dreaming about how easy it would be to give the kids a shower outside after being in the pool etc.
Trying to figure out how the "shower stall" would look.
thanks
eta: do you use it alot?? Do you like having it?

Outside shower
I had one growing up in our shore house and LOVED it. For the entire summer I would only shower in the oustide shower. It was very basic. A would enclosure and inside there was a side for dressing and then the shower side. Slat type flooring so tht you are not standign in the water. THe shower head was a simple one. Shelves inside for soap and shampoo etc. The enclosure does not go to the ground so it never gets steamy....perfect for the hot days!
I would love to have one at home but my neighbors might think I'm crazy when they see me walkign outside to take a shower.

Would it be weird for me to have one? We don't live on the beach

Re: Outside shower
we had one at our share house when I was younger. At the beach so more for the sand. Honestly it would have bugs and stuff in it. and since it was a shower depending on how old your kids are could be a pain. Not sure you save much showering them outside after just the pool

Re: Outside shower
We currently have one that connects to a hose, so it's only cold water. We got it from potterybarn two years ago but quite a few companies sell the same exact model under their brand name. Here it ishttp://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=84lr
With that said. We really like it. The wood has faded on the part where you stand. We put a couple of palm trees around it to make it look really nice. People use it all the time. This year we are going to begin looking into installing one with real plumbing therefore hot/cold and we want to install a sauna outdoor too. This is to cover our pool mechanicals. I have the vision in my head. Now it's time to make it a reality. We called East End pool and Spa and they are going to customize to what we want. We are still in the beginning stages of this project and will be interviewing multiple spa companies.
