out *added a question at bottom*
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
TB didn't show up yet, but AF is due today/tomorrow, so I tested this morning....negative
O'd CD 19, i'm about 9dpo and should have AF today/tomorrow. (i O'd late, does that make a difference)
I'm so disappointed. How come I do everything "right" and still nothing? (anyone else question themselves like that)
the thought of starting again is soooooooooooo frustrating.

don't give up just yet Dev--maybe its just a little early. this is why you gotta resist the urge to POAS!
hopefully you just tested early and maybe wait 2-3 days if AF doesn't show and test again

Re: out
If you O'ed on CD19, you probably wont get AF until CD33. You're not out yet! Test again in a few day. Good luck!

Re: out
Dev, you are not out until TBAF arrives. Plus, you are only 9DPO, which is probably too early for a BFP.

yup, it's true. when you O late you will generally get AF late - actually it's your O date that determines when you get AF!
the thing you need to pay attention to is your LP - your luteal phase (the length of time between O and AF). it should be the same every cycle. if your cycle is usually 28 or 29 days, and in the past you have O'd on lets say CD 14, your LP will be 14 or 15 days long.
so if you O'd on CD 19 this month instead (there are a lot of reasons women O later than usual) then add your LP to that, and you will be able to determine when you *should* get AF. in this case it would be CD 33 or 34.
it's not an exact science but that's usually how it works.
and i personally don't know anyone who got a BFP at 9DPO - that is really early! you are not out yet.

I completely agree with this. It's too early - your not out yet. The time between O and AF rarely changes so if you O'd late - AF will be later.

I wonder the same exact thing every month...it is so hard, but try not to beat yourself up, I try to think its in Gods hands not mine so that takes some of the self placed blame off me.

I pretty much agree with everyone else, if you O'd late then AF will be "late". You're still in it!
I hope its your month!

Re: out *added a question at bottom*
thanks ladies.
(apologizing in advance for my stupidity)
I'm just confused I guess b/c for the past 6 months I've tracked AF and she's always here on day 28 or 29, like clockwork. This was the first month I used OPKs and I didn't O until CD19 which as you remember, I was shocked b/c I just assumed that I was "normal" (sike!).......
SO if I get this right.....
I got my smiley on
Wednesday, 12/17 (CD19)....which puts me at 1DPO on Sat, 12/20....which puts me at today 12/28 9DPO (CD30) AND when AF is due according to my 29 cycle day calendar.....(hence why I tested, b/c since AF didn't show this morning, I was like HEY why not!)
but what you're saying is that actually I shouldn't expect AF until Wed. 12/31 which would be CD33.....b/c I O'd late (which could actually just have been a fluke due to other things going on around me, stress....etc)
so I did test early??
(I think i've just confused my self)
& I am NOT getting my hopes up b/c I cried already today.

Re: out *added a question at bottom*
This is your first month using OPKs so you really can't be sure when AF is due since you don't know how long your LP is.
Unfortunately, you need to just wait it out. It's best to assume that you have a 14 day LP and that AF will come on 15 DPO - and I wouldn't test before then. If you DO get AF, then you'll know how long your LP is.

first and foremost, 9 DPO is too early to get a BFP. so yes, IMO, you did test too early.
it *could* possibly be that you have a short LP - so if you "usually" O on CD 19 (which is hard to know if this is your first month using OPKs) and you always get AF on CD 28 or 29, then your LP is only 9 or 10 days long, which is short.
but like hayley said, you won't know if that is the case until AF shows up (or doesn't).
if you do have a short LP, that can prevent implantation, but there are things you can do.
i have a short LP (while TTC it was as short as 8 days and as long as 11 days) and i was still able to get PG so don't freak out yet
