Our Main Man is FINALLY Here!!!!
First I want to thank you girls listen to me b*tch and complain the last few weeks!!! It really did help to vent!!!
Second I want to thank Becki for keeping me motivated and focused on the prize at hand!! Girl you were a HUGE help!!!
Ok, now for the main event...our son...
on Sunday at 2AM I went to the bathroom and thought I felt a leak. I put my hand there and found a small drop of liquid. It was clear and odorless so I checked again and nothing. So I went back to bed. Throughout the rest of the night and day I had really bad stomach pains and just felt miserable. By 6PM I couldn't take it anymore and called the doctor. I thought I was having contractions as well. The doctor told me to go to labor and delivery.
I checked into L&D and they hooked me up to the monitors. Not one contraction. I was hysterical crying and frustrated and didn't understand what was going on. They asked me if my water broke and I said "no". They were going to send me home but just wanted to check my fluid around  She asked again if my water broke and I said no but this time explained that I thought it did. She said she couldnt find any around the baby and needed to run another test. She did and it showed my water did break. She then told me she had to call my doctor and I wasnt going home, they had to induce me.
I got moved into a room and started on a liquid medication at 1130PM that I cant remember now. I was at 1-2 cm when I first got to L&D. My sister came to the hospital but we called off the rest of the family because we figured this was going to take forever. We shortly sent my sister home to sleep and she said she'd be back at 7AM.
At 130AM they gave me another dose of the induction medication. By 230AM I called the nurse asking for pain medication. DH was sleeping and I was holding the sides of the bed screaming and he didnt even move. HAHA!! The nurse said it was early but she'd get the doctor. Doctor checked me and I was at 5cm so they called for an epi. BEST THING EVER!!!!!!
After that all hell broke loose!!! My blood pressure dropped to 84/48. They gave me a shot and it quickly fixed that problem. Shortly after I felt pressure so called for the nurse. I was at 6cm and then I hear the nurse ask for a code. All of a sudden there are 10 nurses at my bed moving me from side to side and 10 other nurses moving around the room. I then have a resident say to me "we're moving you to the OR" to which I responded "OR means c section" She explained to me that I was contracting a lot and the baby didnt like that and his heart rate was really low. Que panic mode. DH said he got nervous when he saw the nurses get nervous. He called our families and they got me to the OR where they hooked me up to the monitors again and his heartrate went back to normal. I was shaking from the adrenalin and a double dose of a shot to bring his HR down. Back to my room I go. DH informed me my BP went up and DS's HR went to like 30 and DH needed a drink. I got checked when we got back to the room and I was at 7cm.
My sister came back because of all the medical stuff we needed her and I progressed so quickly. I got more epi and felt great again. I stalled at 7cm and the dr ordered pitocin. hy the time I got the pitocin I was 8cm and it was about 7AM. At about 9AM I got checked and was told I was ready to push. Let me tell you pushing is ROUGH!!! My epi was great the first hour of pushing. My second hour it did nothing!!! I was in so much pain and my back labor was tremendous!!!! I pushed for 2 hours and developed a temperature of 100.9. Doctor checked me and said it would be another hour of pushing. His heartrate was dropping after every contraction, my water broke SO long ago, I was begging for more drugs. They told me it was c section time.
I got wheeled into the OR again and finally was numb and feeling better and totally exhausted!!! I fell asleep while getting prepped and woke up just as they were taking DS out. I couldnt really see him when they brought him over and they took him to NICU right away to be monitored and on antibiotics because I spiked a fever. Recovering hasnt been that bad. My sister said my pains are mostly from pushing and not my c section. My SIL ended up being my other coach because DH was driving me nuts with his jokes while I was trying to concentrate. My sister and SIL were amazing!!! DH was supportive in his own way.
DS is doing well and should come out of the NICU this afternoon and hoping I go home tomorrow. I cant post pictures from my phone but will do so when I get home or friend me on FB (Linda Tirino). My son is super handsome and we are totally and utterly in love!!!!! Sorry this was so long and thank you again for everything girls!!

I pushed for a little while before my csection and was in a lot of pain afterwards - so take it easy!!!
