Organic shoppers.. do you buy everything organic or only certain things?

We are buying organic meat, dairy, and fruits/veggies. Just curious what everyone else is doing?

i try, but it's pricey, but i agree: it's worth it.

here is a list of the 47 popular fruits & veggies, ranked in order of WORST to BEST, and shows the percentage of pesticides found on each one.

one time i ate a few green apples, and they felt wax-y and weird, but i ate them anyway. within hours, i was throwing them right up. i truly believe it was too many chemicals.

I used to only do certain things but after watching Food Inc and doing more reading and research I pretty much buy everything organic.
I paid 4.99/lb for organic peppers last week. Oh well. It's hard to swallow but it keeps me and my family safe.

We buy almost everything organic. I find Trader Joe's to have a lot of inexpensive organic produce-specifically banannas, peppers, potatoes and apples.

Other things we buy at Whole Foods or Farmer's Market. Keep in mind if you are buying local many of these farms can not adhere to the stringency of organic criteria or afford to get the designation but may be using organic growing practices. We just bought a beef brisket that is all pasture raised, no antibiotics or hormones etc. Not "organic" but good enough for me We also live in NC so I am not sure how easy this would be in LI

We did pick up organic snacks for the kids as well as OJ... and I am going to stick with it and add more things like pastas and sauces. Watching Food Inc really changed our perspective on what we are eating and to pay attention.

ALL dairy, ALL meat, ALL produce - veggies and fruits.

We will bend a bit on seafood. But that's about it.

So far still trying to get DH on board, but we willl buy the organic versions of the "dirty dozen" (first 12 of the pp) and I will buy organic pasta, meat, veggies and fruit and milk for DS.

Milk. I buy milk organic. In the summer I buy the majority of my veg and fruit from the Farmer's market organic stand so it's local.

Meat and most other items are just too pricey to be consistent with - but we do try when we can. The prices were easier to swallow before Rob went out of work.
