OPKs vs CMBEFM

I know some women use them together. If you had to choose one what's your preference & why?

i used them both. the first month i tried i used just opk's and then the second month i used both (and apparently i am pregnant!). i think if i had to choose it would be the cbefm because it makes you feel a bit more secure with your cycle and what is going on.

i have used OPKs in the past...the CBEFM is just so expensive that i figured i would try OPKs first...but i havent gotten a BFP yet soooo maybe i should get it?

I prefer CBEFM to the OPK's.

Mostly because it gives you more fertile days than any OPK would ever give you.

You get a few high fertile days before you get the peak ovulation days.

With OPK's the most amount of fertile time I would get would be 2 smiley days. With the CBEFM I could get 2 or more high days followed by 2 peak days and then one last high day... so that's a min of 5 fertile days vs 2.

The high days before the peak days are VERY important because it lets you know you are going to ovulate before you do (with a larger time frame than an OPK gives... OPK could be 12 - 36 hours.... the CBEFM tells you at least 2 days before the 12-36 window comes along!!).

So while i used both methods, if I had to pick one, it would be the CBEFM.
