Opks confuse me

Cd15 here and after testing for like 5 days I got a smiley sunday morning. Dh and I have been trying deannas plan so we were bd every other day since cd9 and of course we bd yesterday morning. Today I held my pee for 4 hours (so painful lol) and took a Walgreens opk after work and it was completely negative so I guess I o'd today? I wish I would have started tracking like a year ago so I would know by now :(... This has been more of a vent than a question lol. We bd again today and will tomorrow and then we will skip a day and give it one last try unless Dh collapses from exhaustion lol.

They say to BD every other day before positive OPK. Once you get positive OPK, BD every day for 3-4 days. That way you cover yourself all around. You O Anywhere from 12-48 hours after positive OPK.

An OPK will go negative after the LH is going back down.

Once you get a positive OPK, you are supposed to stop testing because "usually" it will be negative after that. (even though we all keep testing lol)
