OPKs

I really didn't want to use OPKs because I get stressed over every little thing and they will just add to that, but I promised DH and myself that if we went 3 months with no luck I would give them a try. So last night I ordered some, among other things like Pre-Seed and a vitamin supplement for DH that helps with sperm count and motility (since there are known fertility issues with the men in his family). I also ordered a St. Gerard medallion and have been saying the prayer. I'm diving in head first now! The only thing I can't do is chart my BBT because I don't sleep well at all so I feel it wouldn't be accurate.

Anyways, with the OPKs I know you're supposed to test in the afternoon, but I am not capable of holding in my pee for more than a half hour during the day because I drink so much water while I'm at work. I have read that some girls test in the morning because it's easier. Will it still work if I test in the morning? Will the test be accurate? Or should I just not drink anything all day and hope I can hold it in long enough for the OPK to be accurate?

OMG, it's like I could have written your post. lol. I'm the same way. I cannot do my temp because I don't always have a 'good' night sleep and I feel like it'll screw with my results. I also HATED OPKs also because they just added to all of my stress. However, this past cycle I finally just gave in and purchased a box and I'm soooo glad that I did!! It was the first time that I ever got a + and I was so happy about that!

And don't worry about the water issue. I'm the same way. Quite honestly, I know that they say not to use FMU but I did and still got my positive, so I'm all for it.

I didn't want to use them either. Then the doctor was pretty sure I wasn't ovulating for the 3 cycles after BCP (I tried them one previous cycle, no positive, so I gave up) and I decided to use them this month to see for sure. Fortunately, I think I O'd and they helped me pinpoint it.

I think you'll be okay with FMU. When I got my positive it was around 1 pm. But then the next am I tested to see if it was still positive, it was. Then I tested around 8 pm, it was also still positive. So I'm not sure it really mattered what time i was testing, I still got the +.
