OPK's & Irregular AF
Hi all,
Well, AF finally showed up after 49 days!
Now my question is, since this was only my first cycle off BCP and it was obviously ridiculously long, can I even start to use OPK's this coming month since I really have no concept of what a "normal" cycle is for me? What day would you recommend I start using them, if at all?

The directions on the OPK i used (Clear Blue Easy Read) say:
Q: I don't know my usual cycle length. How will I know when to start testing?
A: We recommend you start testing on day 10. (However, without determining your cycle length, it is possible that you might miss your LH surge because you have tested too late using this method.)

I have always had very irregular periods and when trying to get p/g, I just used ALOT of opk's I would begin testing around day 12-14 and would just keep testing. I found the Clear Blue easy test with the smiley face result is the easiest to read although very expensive.

This is what we are trying also. It's our first month. My cycles range from 27-40 days, so I started testing on Day 10 (Monday) and have been negative so far! I'll let you know how it goes this month
