OPK Questions
If you get a +OPK does that mean that you are definitely going to ovulate? Or, is there a chance that you may not?
Also, what day do you count as ovulation? The following day?

Re: OPK Questions
It is possible to get a + OPK and not actually ovulate. OPK's detect LH a hormone that is present in the body just BEFORE ovulation. It's possible ot have this LH surge and then for something to stop ovulation from occuring (illness, stress, traveling or some other medical condition).
As for which day to count as O day the only way to really know for sure is to temp. The day AFTER ovulation temps will increase and remain high for the entire luteal phase. If you're not temping you can estimate that you will O withiin 12-36 hours after your last + OPK. But like I mentioned before there is no way to know exactly when or if you even did without the temps to confirm.
