OPK + ?

Please help me understand. Yesterday was CD12 and I've been testing since CD8 with all negatives. So yesterday I tested at 1pm just like every other day and got a negative. Last night my O cramps were so bad that I tested at 930pm and got an instant dark positive. This morning I retested at 730am (about 10hrs later) and got a negative. The line was there but it was a tad lighter than the control line.

So did I already ovulate if it was negative this morning? I would've missed my surge if I didn't test last night...so glad I did.

You usually get a positive opk and then ovulate 24-36 hours after.

Does a shorter surge have a negative affect on anything?

Usually once you get a positive opk you stop testing. Sometimes you can pick up on the surge going up and then dropping if you continue to test.

A surge is exactly what it sounds like - your hormone level reached it's peak and then drops again. Once you test +, you stop testing. The 9:30pm was your surge and you should ovulate about 36 hours after that - sometime between Saturday night and Sunday.

You are completely normal. Good luck and happy Chat Icon !

Nope not at all! My first time using OPK's was last cycle. I got a negative in the morning...tested by chance at 11pm at night and got a positive...re tested the following morning and got a negative. So I had a short surge as well.

We were pretty much Chat Icon every other day from CD10 and ended up getting our BFP!

USE CLEAR BLUE EASY Chat Icon OPK...start on CD11
GET RID OF THE LINE TESTS!!!

Test on your 2nd urine btwn 11am-2pm (and I also tested at night just so I can narrow down my window.)

Chat Icon the day you get your Chat Icon and the 3 days following...ONCE A DAY no more then ONCE a day :)

Good luck!!!!!!
