Opinions needed-body pillow
I am thinking about breaking down and getting something of this nature. My mom gave me a body pillow that is straight, but it doesn't really help. I am looking at the ones that are shaped for preggos.
Can you recommend yours-what is good and what is not?

i got one of the straight ones at bed bath beyond for like $10 bucks..its eh. I find its like having another person in the bed..LOL
I hear the Boppy's are great though and they make one that folds up into the circle shape so you can use it for the baby afterwards.

Thanks Diana. The straight one is useless. I am basically sleeping on the couch now because of the pillows and I miss my bed!

I got the Especially for Mom Body Support Pillow at BRU. I used it for my entire 2nd Trimester and part of my 3rd...Eventually it got too hard for me to get out of it. Now I just sleep with my regular pillow since my belly is huge. What sold me on it, is that it has an additional panel that zips in which turns it into an infant seat/pillow. Image Attachment(s):

I have a snoogle - I absolutely love it - I'm so much more comfortable now and my backaches and bodyaches are virtually gone.

That is what I think I settled on-because I can use the Bed Bath and Beyond coupon!
Is there a difference between the Snoogle and the Boppy?

i bought one and returned it - i hated having that much material touching me when i slept!!!
I used a small throw pillow ($10 in homegoods) between my knees every night, but that's about it.

with my first I had the snoogle and loved it. i never got one with this pregnancy - i'm so exhausted after chasing a two year old all day I could pass out sitting up if i had to

When I was pregnant with DD, I had a Snoogle and LOVED it! I even used it for weeks after I had her! It was a very sad day when I packed it up and put it away!

DH was not happy when I mentioned needing it but then we read that it is good for people with arthritis and fibromyalgia, so I can use it post partum to sleep too! Now he is all for me buying it!

I bought the Snoogle, but I didn't like it. I'm going to return it. For me, it was just too much pillow. I didn't like how it goes under my head, because then I couldn't really use my regular pillows, which I love. Also, I found it difficult to turn, and I toss around alot at night. I think I might just try one of those other pillows shaped like a J, where the pillow starts at your chest/stomach, rather than at your head.

I have the same one and I love it. If I didnt have it I would probably end up on my stomach (I was a big time stomach sleeper). I keep a regular pillow on my other side so when I turn I put that b/w my knees and under my belly. I am definitely more comfortable with it.

Actually I bought a normal body pillow at BJ's for $11 & it was the best thing I could have done. I use it on the outside portion of the bed for when I am sleeping on my left side & then use a small throw pillow on my right side in case I flip to support my belly. I have slept the best throughout my pregnancy up until the last week or so..
