Open House on Saturday

We are having our first Open House on Saturday. Anty advice? I plan on cleaning like no tomorrow! I took down a lot of photo's. Anything else that buyers may see that as the owner you don't see?

Any knick naks or things like that...clear any clutter. Just make it look as plain as possible so a buyer can picture themselves living in your house...Good LuckChat Icon

IMO Becareful if you use air fresheners, I been to open houses and their smell can be over powering. I wonder what their trying to cover up. Your Reo should advise you. I am also having a Open House but mine is for sale by owner. Good Luck...

You are better off baking a pie or cookies (just don't burn) or steeping some oranges (a natural air freshener) and some cloves on the stove for a fresh, welcoming aroma. GL!

if you have small appliances or canisters or anything out on your kitchen counters, put them all away. same in the bathroom, no stuff out on surfaces.
try to arrange closets so they look like they aren't full. Steamline everything as much as pssible so it looks bigger & like there is plenty of storage.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: Open House on Saturday

Make sure your closets aren't packed full to their limits. It makes it look like you don't have enough cabinet / closet space / storage.

Make sure you have all the lights on in the house, too.

Good luck!

Re: Open House on Saturday

I'd just put a rug down when people walk in to wipe their feet (so it doesn't get into the rest of the house)

Good luck!
