We are off to see the Surgeon on Thursday to see what is in store for our little girl. she is 2.5 yrs old, and her upcoming open heart surgery for her VSD - I kinda wish it was repaired in China - but it wasn't - I know this is the best thing for her - but it breaks my heart !
So sorry to hear this my husband had this when he was born and had open heart surgery when he was 3 he is 31 now amd recovered just fine. I know its easier then said everything will be okay.
I just wanted to send you . My ds had open heart surgery at 4 days old. Like any surgery it is so hard waiting while they are in. I prayed a lot! Try to stay calm and stay strong!
DS had VSD surgery when he was 3m old. He had to be put on bypass. It was one of the most difficult times in my life but now DS is a perfectly healthy little boy.
