ooouch!!!!!
I spare you all the gory details, but during a tempure tantrum my 2 yrs old kicked most of my toe nail off.
I had to go the ER to have the remainder of it taken off. They insisted on giving my an X-ray to make sure the toe wasn't broken...and since I'm PG I was petrified that it could hurt the baby. They also insisted on a Tetnis shot since the last one I had was back in '95. They tried to insist on pain meds...but tis I refused.
I haven't slept too much the last 2 nights because of pain...but since I'm already a high risk for premature labor I didn't want to do anything that put the baby at harm with out talking to my OB...I know that the 3 Dr.'s and 2 RN's in the ER should be enough...but it isn't...DH and I wanted to hear it from my regular OB who is familiar with my PG History.
Of course it being a holiday weekend the office is closed and since I'm not in labor this doesn't really fall under an emergency, I didn't leave a message. I already have a schedule sonogram Tuesday evening...and I will call the office in the morning on Tuesday to see if my Dr. wants me to come in ealrier because of Friday's events.

That stinks! Why don't you take some Tylenol in the meantime. I'm sure it will atleast help a little with the pain.
