online banking
So I would like to try getting all my finances together and such and thought banking online and keeping track of accounts online would be a really organized way to do it... but I'm SO uncomfortable with giving a website my social, bank account info, c/c info, etc.
It just freaks me out!
I know it's a bank website... but still, I guess it's my paranoia. Anyone else do their banking online?

I LOVE my online banking. I couldn't live with out it.
What is it that makes you nervous? Cause anyone that works for the bank has that info anyway.
And as far as hackers go the site is VERY safe.

I do EVERYTHING online. I wouldn't have it any other way. I also do all paperless statements. Reminders/Statements come into my email box.

I do all my stuff online. I feel it's SAFER, because I check my accounts every day and would know immediately if my info was accessed. When I got paper statements I never looked at them. Also, I like to use my CCs for on-line purchases, and I can immediately pay the CC with the cash in my account so I don't carry a balance.

I always did my banking and bill paying online. DH on the other hand was very against it...
Finally after years of showing him how great it really is and safe for that matter, I've finally convinced him and now he loves it!
We can pay bills, transfer money between accounts, check balances, check if a check cleared and see a copy of the negotiated check...it's really great.

Wow - I thought there would be some mixed feelings! Guess I'm being overly-paranoid! Go figure 
I may have to try it out - I'm so archaic with all my papers and statements! It's disorganized and frustrating.

I think it's the fact that I'm submitting all this info online that has been drummed into my head for years to gaurd w/ my life, you know? I used to work in retail and when people would want to apply for a store card and found out I needed their social, they would say no. They wouldn't even speak it aloud to me because some were afraid someone would hear it, memorize and use it I guess.
