I wanted to punch the granola couple! Here's a sound idea! Have your kid at home if you're gonna acknowledge the presence of your Doula, and completely ignore the nurse.
Yes, I'm sure one more shower is gonna help.....

I watched that show with DH and we were laughing at some of those people!
Seriously the nurse with the "Granola" couple was so nice to them. I would have screamed!

what amazes me is how hostile the comments are on that board. I thought people on here were defensive and judgmental LoL
I get a all natural birth - my friends had three babies at home. I think its great they show the all natural way what bothered me is how dad was pushing harder and being so demanding on his wife and how unresponsive she was. I felt like this wasn't entirely her plan but his but TV has a way of distorting things.

That poor nurse
I felt so bad for that nurse - she was so experience and so sweet and was just trying to do her JOB and they were so out of line -- the husband was just NASTY and kept making snide comments and I wanted to HIT him. That nurse was right about everything and they were idiots - go take another shower!!! AND they said in the beginning that they wanted to have a natural birth so that it will be easy and fast.... UMMM??? 28+ hours later - NICE JOB MORONS!!!!  I felt bad for the nurse because they were so disrespectful of her authority and intelligence.

They were just plain disrespectful. Editing or not, I hope when they watched it they took a step back and realized what doucherockets they were being! Especially the husband. with HIS birth plan.

The intense eye stares and the positions they had gave me the creeps LOL
I felt so bad for the nurse when she wanted to check the cervix and the guy said "yeah, no we're gonna take another shower"

sounded like they were doing a friggin seance in the shower!
OMG and Tasha's family (i think that was her name) is all sitting around eating pizza, cheetos, and whatever else while watching her labor like they were at a dinner theatre!

The granola couple killed me! esp the father and HIS birth plan! UNREAL...that nurse was soo professional and such a doll! she handled it beautifully! she was so concerned about the baby!
Tasha's husband cracked me up.. he had to go to walmart to get the stroller and crib but didn't want to go in one shot because he didn't want to see all that money go in one trip lol
