OMG!!!!! This is weird...
Months ago I lost my flash drive that I would bring with me from home to work with ALL my files on it - i was nervous about it as I had kids' report cards on there, my resume, etc. etc.
Fast forward to tonight... DH and I are packing up my apartment and i am doing loads of free laundry before we leave the apt. I throw in my fall jacket into the machine... and THEN the dryer.
Dryer buzzes, I take out the jacket to see the long-lost flash drive at the bottom of the dryer.
I put it in the computer and NO files were lost!!!!!!!! How crazy is that?!!!
Can any computer genius explain to me how a load of water and detergent and then a hot dryer for 40 minutes did not corrupt all the files?
I AM PSYCHED!!!!

i sent a remote control through the washing machine once and was amazed it worked - but a washer AND a dryer and no damage?

Amazing!!
2 weeks ago I dropped my car keys in a storm drain, my cars clicker thingy was in the water for a good 2 hours before I got them out. And it still worked!! I love when that happens!!!

DH has done this too. Just as a precaution, he backed everything up and tossed the drive. Never know if/when that water could affect it.
