OMG i am so upset - i know it's the hormones but...
my regular OB office called to cancel my ultrascreen b/c they have no more night techs coming from Madonna.
i am moving and changing practices to Stonybrook Midwives so i called them.
the woman i spoke to was AWFUL. she told me i need a script - okay fine, but i am 12 weeks already and under a time constraint. she then asked me, why, am i planning to terminate?
OMG - i started crying and hung up.
i called back and asked to speak with her manager and she started yelling at me and wouldn't let me speak and then transferred me to her manager but gave me the wrong number and sent me to orthopedics.
i have an appointment there with a midwife tomorrow and i don't even want to go. 
now i get no sono and an awful front office staff.

That is just horrible, hormones or not. Go to the appointment tomorrow and have a talk with the Midwife. I am sure they can still get you in for an ultrasound, and be sure to firmly express how disappointed you are in the actions of the desk staff.

we were ending our call and i said "i sincerely hope you never say that to anyone else" and she started SCREAMING at me, about how it was a legitimate question and how she was going to transfer me to her manager - and then the idiot transferred me to orthopedics.
thanks god the woman i spoke with at Madonna in Mineola was so much nicer, i was able to get an appointment with them right away.
i am so going to say something tomorrow but i really hope i don't start crying again

OMG! I go there and never had a problem, I actually think their receptionists are a million times better than normal receptionists... so don't get scared away by one nasty person. The midwives are AWESOME and I definitely think you should talk to them about what happened so they could take care of it.

That's beyond rude. It is absolutely NONE of her business as to what your reasons are for ANYTHING...that's between you and your midwife...

 wow and I thought my doctors office was rude. I'd call the office back and speak to the manager on another day, it was probably just a busy day, but that kind of behavior is inexcusable!
stay positive, visit your midwife, maybe it will be a positive experience,
something I learned is that people who are rude have something up their butt and how miserable their little lives must be to act this way - it almost makes me want to feel sorry for them. almost..
