I seriously need to learn this stuff

So I now know that it IS possible to get pregnant if you BD on CD 9 BUT what's the likelihood if EWCM showed up on CD 18??? I feel like BD was WAY too early, right???

There's really no way to tell when you ovulated for SURE just based on that.

Yes, EWCM is often an indicator of a fertile time - but people do get it before AF and/or before their BFPs.

I always found it difficult to rely solely on EWCM b/c some months I honestly start seeing it from the day AF leaves for 2 wks straight. It's a sign ovulation is approaching, but you can see it several days beforehand, or after sometimes. I think you only really know based on your body - if you've been watching your cycles closely for several months.

If the only day you BD was CD 9, I would say that it wasn't likely that you would get preggo, KWIM? Is there a chance, sure. It's probably more likely if your cycles were 23 days, not 30.

I found out from using OPKs that when I O'd and when I had CM where COMPLETELY off.

I would have no EWCM when Oing, it would show up about 5 days later.

I agree with the others that suggested OKPs. Also, I have longer cycles (30-35) days, but my doc suggested BDing every other day from CD 10-CD 22- although we have definitely not been able to accomplish that this month!

In order to go by your CM you really need to know your body by charting. It is really difficult to go by your CM on your first month of trying if you haven't because not every woman is text book. You could be ovulating around CD 18. Did you see EWCM on day 9? Or are you just going by you would ovulate on CD 14 but had no CM?

wow...thanks for all the replies ladies. I honestly haven't paid all that much attention

I'm pretty consistent on the 30-31 day cycle so I assume that I O somewhere around CD 15-16-17

but last month AF showed up a whole week early, which is SO rare for me. I guess the reason I even thought about this is because Sat/Sun CD 15/16 I couldn't keep my eyes open and felt nauseous for 3 days.

I say just keep BDing because you never know! I had a 40 day cycle last month and I am typically around 30 days and ovulate around 17 or 18. I ended up Oing on CD22

My philosophy from now on is BD every other day until AF shows or I'm pregnant. Good luck

Oh btw, I also get EWCM before O and the week before AF so you go by your EWCM unless you really know your cycles.
