ok...ALMOST got in trouble w cops last night
I am sure some will flame me iits ok....
I went out and picked some liliacs...
well...it was not on this guys property---it was a construction site being built..
it my head I justify it as well...if I donot prune it...it will look like ****...
We goto leave the guy livingnext door--(this happened on my block)he JUST movedin...comes running after the car with some crazzzzzzzzzzed look like I killed his cat and lookslike he wants too get so close he starts screaming the plate #.
geez..I was like no way...
welllow and beholdin 2 minutes the cops are there!!!!!! ( kept driving past) couldn't help it...
I couldn't believe someone had that time on their hands...
dude, I picked some flowers...
they werenot on anyones lawn or anything...
yes...i am wrong but who does that?
its not like its someprize winning plant I dug up!
so...allI have to say is dude....you willmake alot of friiends here...the town is 2 miles long and you just moved here!
#2....everydamn time I call the cops for say a drunk driver---someone sppeeding like 90...noone comes for 20 minutes...the fact someone came in like 5 minutes flabbergasted me...
ok...let the lashing begin...I cannot help it...

I doubt he called the cops on you because of the flowers. He probably assumed you were stealing building materials. No flames here.
Now you know, if you need the cops to rush to your house, just tell them someone is stealing the lilacs on your yard!

Well, it is someone's property. It's not an owner-free lot. So in essence you are actually stealing.
But why would the neighbor call the cops? Maybe he was asked by the owner to watch for the tree. Maybe he wanted to cut the flowers himself or maybe he just wanted the tree untouched. Not sure of his motivation!
