OK, so WAY TMI...
but let's say you use the "pull & pray" method, and you are doing "the deed" and DH forgets the "pull" part because he was "caught up in the moment" (maybe he wouldn't have been so "caught up" if HE'D potentially have to walk around with a watermelon in his stomach for 9 months!) How would you feel? I'm bordering on pi$$ed and whatever happens, happens...

I assume that you're pi$$ed because you aren't planning another child anytime soon. If so, then I think at 1st I'd probably be concerned, but would feel "whatever happens, happens", and roll with the punches.

Yeah, we don't know that we want a 3rd child...we are probably leaning more towards not having another...but still, that's a big decision and not something that should be decided by getting "caught up in the moment". If I were to get PG, believe me, we'd be thrilled and it would be a blessing, BUT I'm thinking that's not really the best idea!

Of course I was up and around a couple of days after my c-sections, but he will require 3 weeks bedrest with his little surgery

But you do know that it's because we're stronger than them... we get sick, and go with it. They get sick, and cry death!
ETA: I always thought that it was unfair that the woman was always expected to get fixed. It's bad enough we've had to do the whole 9 month thing AND then go thru labor... YOU do something now other than get off!

That is true...
DH has great timing cause it's all him. If not I'd be a mother of 3 by now.
you know what I'm saying...if she's not near ovulation, I wouldn't be as worried as I would if she was right smack between periods...got me?
