ok seriously.....
I have to stay off the pregnancy board. I pop on from time to time to see the progress of the IF graduates.
Well people are so clueless. Lets just say I would do anything to be in "someone's" position. And thats all I'm gonna say. Sorry for the rant.

I will play the devil's side here and say that, while I think it's sad that she's disappointed, I don't think it is fair for anyone to judge or crucify. Thankfully she hasn't experienced the cruel, grueling journey of IF, but that doesn't make her any less of a person, or deserving of having her own wishes, and we simply cannot expect everyone to have the same sensitivity and appreciation that we do, just because we've gone through, or are going through IF.
Our struggles are our own - not hers, nor anyone else's, including anyone who is pregnant and may be disappointed with news that we would otherwise find thrilling. I am certainly sensitive to what we are all going through because I'm right in the line of fire myself, but all the same, I don't think it's fair to judge and impose what we are going through on others.

I dont think she is any less of a person but the title of her post alone is even unacceptable ("Update: so sad"). I know it does, and I wouldn't expect for people on here not to be affected. The truth is, I would also give my left arm to have found out I was pregnant with a baby boy.
But, at the same time, the truth is that I'm sure if all of us never had to go through IF, and got pregnant as easily as can be, and had our hearts set on a certain sex, we all would have felt some kind of disappointment. It's only through our IF journeys that we've gained a completely new appreciation and heavy dose of sensitivity. We just cannot expect the rest of the world to have that same kind of appreciation and sensitivity because they haven't gone through it, and it doesn't mean they are bad people. It just means they are lucky that they haven't had to go through this.
Everyone has their own pains and tribulations - we shouldn't judge what one can and cannot be disappointed with - it's just not fair to impose that on other people.

Though I agree w/ you- I think we have to put in perspective where it's coming from.
PG to pregnant women is the same as IF to us- it's our safehaven. She's entitled to her feelings, though I think it could've been done in a more appropriate way, knowing that there are lurkers on every board, besides the other PG women who struggled to finally get there.
I look over there all the time. I like to check in on my friends who are over there and don't post over here as much- and it keeps me hopeful. I save stuff to my notebook for WHEN we need it! 
Posts like that sadden me b/c I feel like the person doesn't know what a blessing they truly have, even if just for that moment- but I will do my best not to judge them. Our time will come- so I do my best not to let posts like that get to me.

ITA, i realize reading that post , that it's such a different mind set .. In an odd way I miss posting here, and all you ladies.. Some people just don't know how good they have it.. I knew that I was thrilled with whatever baby I was to have.. things are just different. Keep up the faith ladies you will all be there soon.
