To me a romantic night at home would be my DH cooking me dinner and eating by candlelight. And then maybe taking a bath together and so on....

Me coming home to a nice bath drawn for me. As I am in the bath DH cooks dinner, sets up candles/flowers. We eat dinner then settle down on the couch for a good old romantic movie....

Setting up a couple of rooms in the house with some sort of theme. We can dine in Italy in the kitchen, have dessert by fire in the living room with some parisian pastries and a cappacino, and visit the botanical garden in the bedroom where some rose petals drape across the bed.

Hmmm, my definition of romantic is a bit different than most. I don't think DH needs to do all the work to make it romantic.
We'd probably order take out from a restaurant so neither one of us had to cook. (Not fast food though.)
If it's nice out, then it will predominently be spent outdoors with a fire in the firepit, some nice music (maybe some Spanish guitar or a Buddha-bar compilation) drinking, conversing and just enjoying the night. No TV.
