Ok.. I'm trying to keep it together.. could use some support this week ladies
So we're moving into our new house. Its a mad week of meetings, deadlines and trying to move stuff day by day, bit by bit into the new house. Just me and my hubby and our SUV.
To save money we have AJ out of daycare since she was going to spend the summer with my Aunt who's home from assisting at a local grade school.
Just so happens that begins this week.
AND I only have this week and the following three workdays to be out of my apt.
So we decided to leave AJ at my aunts ALL week long.. no coming home.
We're solo
No sleeping child in that room over there. Its actually empty. Her room is set up already in the new house.
No middle of the night cries to listen for.
No last bottle of the night
No bath time frolics
No ritual lotioning down of the kiddo
No 'big hugs'
No nose kisses (her new trick)
No kisses for mommy or daddy
No kid shows at 6pm
No late night - last minute - runs of her favorite shows so she can sleep
No "shoes" requests in the morning or evening to take off or put on
No "juice" requests
No squeals of delight at the occasional marshmallow snack.
Ok.. Am I losing my mind.. its just been two days.. ugh. She's too far for a quick trip over to visit (though we went over today). We really really NEED to get our stuff moved. But even if I took a few days off and got it all done (which I soooooooo can't). She can't come home until this place is cleaned, last walk through and closed up.
I can do this.
Probably shouldn't be on parenting board, huh?
Yes, I call like three times a day. ha! I miss my little one.
So in the words of my AJ "ouchie"
ETA: once we're done.. it will still be daily drop offs / pick ups to my aunts.. but home with us for nights!

that is hard! Just think of it as having your DD at Camp Auntie! She is probably having a great time! Good luck with your move!

I know how hard it is to miss them- we left Mads with my parents to go to a destination wedding when she was 8 months old. I thought I might die when we left.
That said, *try* to enjoy the solitude!! She's in great hands and getting lots of attention from her aunt.
