oh no.. Was anyone's digital wrong?

So that's what I got.

My doc's urine test is saying no.

I spent so much money on HPT's before the digital that I truely can't buy another and I'm making my self sick over all this test.

Does anyone know anyone who got a false positive on a digital!?

I'm so confused!


I'd be 4 weeks + this week and he won't do a beta until I'm 6.

My lMP was 6/15

i've never heard of a flase positive on a digital, but i guess anything is possible. Hang in there, I could only imagine how frustrating this is.

I would request a blood test. Urine tests can have a high % of false negatives because it depends on how much of the hormone is in your urine.

Oh no! Please keep us updated. I waited until I was testing + for about 2 or 3 days before taking my one and only digital (those things are expensive!). They're very sensitive too so it doesn't make sense why you'd get a + there and not at the doctor. Can you take another test on your own?

That digital was actually purchased on my way home from getting the first negative on my doc's urine test. But it was my earlier pee I still had saved (forgot to bring it with me to the doc)

That was all friday.

I went to the doc's monday with my FMU and they still got a negative.

I truely can't buy any more HPT's. Dh will kill me and it's making me insane.

How frustrating!!!! Hang in there. I that the doc's test was wrong or he was only detecting a small amount of HCG so he said it was negative. Keep us posted!!!

Well I haven't heard too often that a digital test is wrong, but I'm sure that it is possible in some instances

That said - I think the only way to know for sure is to get a blood test (beta) done to pick up how high the level of HcG is in your system, and then go from there..

It's entirely possible that the doctor's test was not able to detect the pregnancy hormones in your body since you're so early in the pregnancy. Digital HPTs, in my experience, are very good. I'd test again in a couple of days and keep your appt for the beta. That will tell you 100% if you are or not. GOOD LUCK!!

I would go to the Dollar Tree and by their tests. They are a dollar a piece and they work. I had a BFP on them. Your husband would never know you spent the money on them.

I have never heard of a dr saying they wouldnt do a beta? I would call and demand one because of the different results.

I have read the Dr tests some ofthem are only sensitive to 100 much less than the drugstore tests. Def. go to the $$ store. Also I would demand an HcG your insurance is paying for it not your Dr. INSIST! I used to listen to everything my Dr said but now I insist on the best care

When I was testing the digital wouldn't even pick up for me until I was testing positive with other tests for at least 4 days.

They're pretty cheap and work great. You can buy Equate brand at Walmart. You can get at least 2 tests in the package for $7.00.

I hope you get your positive again. I also tried FRE (First Response Early) and that wouldn't give me a positive for days either. The Equate and Target brand worked great and I did buy a bunch I mean a bunch from the Dollar Tree and they worked good too. Good luck and I hope it comes out positive!

i have experienced a false positive that can be classified as a "chemical pregnancy"...

i had very light spotting right around AF was due. after a day it vanished. i waited a few days, tested 3 times (1 regular clearblue easy, 2 digital) and got all positives. a week later tested twice, got 2 negatives. period showed up the following day.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I agree with all the prior posters, demand a beta and go get a dollar store cheapie...I used them too and got a positive very early.

if your late and you got a BFP on the digital I say you are pregnant. When I had my chemical I got + on Target, Equate, fact plus, and FRER but still - on the digital.

Is this a happy thing?
