I see the October thread on the first page of the pregnancy boards more often than other other month's thread so I really do think we are the chattiest bunch!
Congrats to all the ladies who joined the thread recently!

We should definitely do an online shower with this big happy group! Probably later this summer. 
We did it with the January/February 2011 mommies and it was so much fun.

Yes I guess we have a lot of updates to share in the first few months, that and perhaps a lot of us decide to post them here rather than create a new thread  I love this group!!

had the NT scan tonight, went great!!! The doctor said the nuchal fluid was very thin, he threw around a lot of confusing terms but it was all good news so I didn't have many questions. Baby bean didn't move around at ALL until I emptied my bladder than he/she was bouncing all over, the sono pic looks like LO is sucking his or her hand  Then when the hand moved it looked like it was tugging on the umblical cord! (and I was hungry too so maybe he was sending me signals!! LOL). It was nice hearing the heartbeat via doppler instead of an internal, still pretty fast at 160bpm! It's kind of sad I won't have another sono for 8 weeks, feels like an eternity!!!

What we did two years ago was that anyone interested in participating let the organizer know and then was matched up with one person (you got someone different than who got you, like in secret santa) and you basically bought them a present and mailed it to them (we kept it to around $20, no less than $15, to be fair). Everyone had a set date to open their presents and share a pic of what they got! It was a lot of fun. Some people got things off their registries, others went more creative/random.

That's so fabulous it went well!! "Thin nuchal fluid" is exactly what they hope to see. Sounds like you're in great shape! Hooray for active baby!

They didn't take any guesses but since we don't want to know I'm glad they didn't! lol Of course DH thinks he saw testicles he is crazy! I hate saying he/she all the time but I can't call the baby "it" so I might be confusing sometimes if I only use he and not he/she LOL (I find myself saying he though, even though I just have this feeling it's a girl! only time will tell!)

That sounds so much fun!!!! I did a secret santa once on LIF way back in 2007 I think? I am definitely in for an online shower!

Is anyone else planning to get a 3D sonogram? I made an appointment for one at Little 3D Wonders in Nesconset. I'm so excited! I'll be going when I'm about 17.5 weeks, because they say you can find out the gender by 16 weeks and DH and I just can't wait to find out. Then we'll probably go again around 25-30 weeks because I've heard that's the best time to go for good pictures of the baby.
