*** OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2014 THREAD ***

I am shot by 5pm which is so so unlike me, I'm a night owl. The girls are really into the terrible twos, and it's exhausting. To top it all off, the basement isn't done yet. I am at least hoping to get the carpeting installed Saturday. Then, I can start moving the office down into the basement because the office is naturally the baby's new room.
Nothing. is. done. I got tons of clothes that need to be washed. Not one window has been washed yet, and I'm ready to strangle DH. how am I going to possibly make it through Sunday, DD's 2nd birthday party? Chat Icon

I'm so tired. Work is exhausting and so is the commute. I can barely keep my eyes open when I get home. I have done nothing for the baby's room. My shower is in a couple of weeks so I think I'll get on it after that comes.

Can you all believe its almost November? We are almost there!

I agree with the other posts aim to get the babies new born/smaller sized clothes, sheets blankets etc washed by 36 weeks. You Just NEVER know when he'll come. I remember doing mine 37w2d cause I felt off and crampy and wanted to get that out the way just in case...he came 2 days later!!

You have every right to be exhausted! ! My son will be 2 in December. It's a lot if work being this pregnant with a toddler let alone 2!!

Take it easyou (if possible ) and if you're keeping LO in your room right away he doesn't even need the nursery complete before he'starts born. Enjoy your girls birthday! !

*** OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2014 THREAD ***

Ok- thought I should bump this thread to see how everyone is doing! We've already had one December momma have her baby! What's everyone else up to?

I'm huge, tired, and not at all ready!!! Due in 19 days and starting to feel some contractions here and there. I'm still thinking I'm going late, so that's reassuring me. Otherwise, DS2's room just got dry wall put up- needs to be taped and spackled and painted. It also needs carpet, furniture, and everything else set up. DH has to get all old baby stuff out of the attic. I need to order diapers and get new nipples. I'm gonna have a panic attack with the amount that needs to be done. The big problem is that I leave the house at 545am and walk in the door at 430pm all by myself with DS1!! I have no energy to do anything!!!! Might need to take a day or so soon just to do everything!

36 days to go here so I go back and forth from thinking I have plenty of time and freaking out that I'm not ready! I did some laundry this week to clean baby clothes, nursing clothes, got the car seat washed and ready, and bought most of the things on my shopping list. We'll probably wait a few more weeks to get the bassinet and swing out and put together.

I feel surprising good most of the time which is good. I'm anxious for my growth sono on Monday since at my last appointment they though I measured a few weeks behind. They also aren't sure of baby's position and I don't even want to think about the possibility of that not working out well. Monday can't get here soon enough to see that baby is a good size, everything looks good, and the head is down.

Jess he's beautiful! Perfect! and he has hair!

I did too much today. I knew it was going to be tough, but I did it for DDs, and I don't regret it. Just tired... I went to White Post Farms today. Thankfully, BIL and SIL came, and i sat a lot of the time, which was nice. But still, I wasn't on my couch with my feet up, so you can imagine the nuttiness I feel right now! My back and feet hurt.
I just keep telling myself 16 more days... Chat Icon
I can do this!

36.5 weeks. Had the Group B Strep swab at my appt today. Starting to finally feel good about getting stuff done, but getting increasingly anxious over how the heck I'm going to manage a newborn and a 2 year old, who has definitely entered the "terrible 2" phase. Physically, I can't really complain much yet other than normal tiredness and achiness by the end of the day, so I'm hoping that continues as long as possible.

34 weeks. Baby's room is getting finished. All the painting is done and we'll put up the decal this weekend. Furniture finally came out of the boxes, super excited about it! I can't wait until my growth sono, I haven't seen lil boy since the 20 week sono. We have it scheduled for the last week of November.

Congrats Jess! Hes so cute!

AFM I'm doing okay. I have been working a lot so I am shot. I'm starting to feel a little sore here and there but mostly ok. I had my baby shower so we have tons of stuff but no room set up yet. I feel like we have lots of time but then I see all these xmas ADs and I get freaked out.

Back to the Dr. Next week and then weekly visits. I have to ask about the pretusis shot and when I get the Strep B test.

Re: *** OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2014 THREAD ***

Ok Girls, I came back because I had to see how everyone's doing. Obviously, I can't sleep and it's 4:30am.
Just checking in. I go for a second 1-hour glucose test because they suddenly found too much fluid around the baby and he's big (at 37W2d)

It's called Polyhydramnios. If I hadn't had genetic testing at week 11, I would be in a state of panic right now. With that and the anatomy scan, I was cleared of any chances of:
Down Syndrome, Neural tube defects, abdominal/stomach/diaphragm issues.

I thought it was weird that the sono tech pointed out his stomach was doing well 7 times, and showed me his bowels, kidneys and how he was swallowing. I didn't think anything of the fact that he's about 8lbs and has really big bones. DH is a big dude and he was a 10lb baby. My belly is also enormous.

So This fluid thing could mean all of those genetic and digestive problems, but we don't think it is any of those. As a matter of fact, they only suspect late-onset Gestational Diabetes. WHAT? Chat Icon I passed my 1 hour the first time.
Yep, it could make baby big and mom gain fluid. But how does that make sense if I lost 3 lbs? Chat Icon
I am so ready. My scheduled C-section is 11/28. So, why not just schedule me now? I'm ready, and I don't want anything to happen to the little guy!

Aw! I'm sorry you've gotten worrisome news at this stage of the game! The good news is, you're being carefully monitored now, and I am sure your drs will advise you to do whatever is in the best interest of you and your baby boy! I replied on your other thread, but I do know of 2 women who have had high fluid levels and everything was just fine in the end. As far as big babies- my nephew was born at almost 11 lbs, no issues, just big! So I know it's only natural to worry, but there may not even be a reason to. Good luck with your glucose test! Your healthy little guy will be here soon!

Just got back from my OB appointment (36w4d) I'm 4cm dilated; 60% effaced!! Had my son at 37w3d; so we're figuring baby will come some time this week/weekend??? Who knows though... I was 2cm last week at my appt at 30% effaced so I am definitely making progress. I hope it's a good thing that my body is dilating so well on it's own with little pain? Hopefully that means my labor will be quick?
