Office cleaners - pet peeve
OK, I have to say that it really bugs me that the office cleaner where I work comes in the middle of the day to empty our trash bins (usually when I'm sitting at my desk eating lunch, with the door shut. I hate being interrupted during lunch lol). I've never worked anywhere before that they didn't do that work after hours. But now, at 4:30, they are vacuuming our offices???? Maybe I'm crazy, but this is just really annoying to me.
Anyone else's office like this, or does the cleaning staff come after regular office hours?

We have a cleaning service that comes every other Tuesday during the day and the regular bldg. crew comes at night. Vacumming is annoying but I don't mind as at least we know the rug is vacuumed every once in a while

Ours come in about 5:15 - 5:30 to empty the trash.
Vacuuming that early is strange, it's still business hours for most offices.

Office cleaners - pet peeve
My girlfriend just started a new job. They vacuum 3x a day. She wants to break the vacuum cleaner. She says no one else seems bothered by it.

Our cleaners come around 515 or so to just empty garbages.
They dont' vacuum until after hours.
I don't get the point of emptying the trash at noon, by the end of the day it will be full again and sitting over night rotting.

All times of the day. But mostly after 4. Floors are cleaned later in the day. That would drive me nuts too

ours comes in the afternoon. if I don't want to be bothered (in a meeting/on a call), I leave my trashbin outside my office door.
not that big of a deal.

Our company has a huge building, and the cleaning crew comes during lunch.
Years ago, they cleaned after hours, but I bet it's cheaper if they come in the middle of the day.

Exactly. I've never worked somewhere that they didn't take the garbage at the end of the day. If I'm working late, sure, come on in, but aside from being annoyed that they come in the middle of lunch, I hate walking into my office with stinky garbage left over from the day before
And it's a small building. They clean the restrooms right before lunch and I always seem to need to go when they are cleaning. Just such an odd schedule to me.

As someone who has a hired office cleaning companies many times, I was always able the select the time and days I wanted them to come in. In my office now, I have them come in the morning but its because I dont allow access to my building without someone present.

I would complain about that. It is not efficient for you to be interrupted in the middle of your work day for the cleaning staff. That should be done after hours.
