Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Please encourage every woman in your life over the age of 35 to have a yearly mammogram.
Mom has now been Cancer free since September 2005. The following picture is of us on a Mediterranean cruise this past September. An annual Mammogram made it possible...

 I have a similar story with my mom. She is cancer free for 5 years. Thanks to a mammogram.

My mom is cancer free for 2.5 years now and her bi-annual mammogram picked it up. (Her sister died of breast cancer and her grandmother -- so mammograms every 6 months after age 30 are a must in my family!)

How many miles is the walk?
Do we need to get sponsors?
I just checked my home calendar and it doesn't look like I have anything scheduled that day. Looks like I'm in as long as DH can confirm he didn't make any plans.

Field 5, there's a big registration tent you can't miss. If we walk as a group we can meet-up first and then register together.
The walk is 5 miles, it's 2.5 and then you turn around and walk back.
You don't need to get "sponsors", I usually just ask people for a flat donation.
ETA: In past years I've tried to get a group together at work, but participation is pretty weak. And every year is less and less, last year it was just me and my mom. So I'd love to get a LIW/LIF group together!!
