Obgyn Rave!
I just went to my new obgyn after miscarrying this weekend.
I have had some horrible experiences throughout my life with gynecologists being terrible...unfeeling, un-comforting, impatient...and rude comments! Needless to say, I am always super anxious to go to the doctor because of this and I felt at one point that it was me and then I just had terrible anxiety but I did loads of research and came across the name Dr. Randi Rothstein. She is in a practice in Bayside- across from Bay Terrace Shopping Center.
She was very kind and sweet and treated me like a human and she was a human, not a robot. Not only that, her front desk and the nurse were also the nicest staff I have ever come across in a doctors office.
Not only was I upset going in because of what happened, I was still bleeding heavily (tmi sorry) and I still got through having an exam under those conditions because of her...she said to me while examing me that I shouldnt worry at all because she promised to get me back to the office for good reasons (I lost it at that point and started crying during the internal sono).
Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience and hopefully if anyone is looking for a new doctor, you can research going to Dr. Rothstein (a female btw). I just also found out that she a high-risk doctor so if you need that, that's a bonus.

thanks for the info...a friend of mine uses her and recommended her to me, but im not ready to leave my obgyn yet

This is my practice as well. I see Dr. Greenberg. When I was pregnant with my DD I had a lot of problems with anemia and 2 weeks before my delivery I was pretty bad off. Dr. Rothstein called every number she had for us included my husbands firehouse where she had them contact my husband to get me to the hospital right away ( i needed to have a few blood transfusions). They are caring doctors and you are in good hands.

wow what a story and yes, that is awesome of her! good to know that other people are benefiting from this great doctor as well.
i even was speaking to the nurse and i was saying thank you over and over for being so kind and she was like, this is just us, no thanks needed and then she said something that was like so meaningful to me...she goes and yes, we are like this for the bad And the good times... she like really "got it".
