Re: NYC with a toddler
Thanks for all of the great suggestions!!! When spending the day in the city, where the heck do you go for diaper changes?? Also, how do you get around the city without a carseat to use in cabs? Do you just hold DC on your lap??

Diaper changes we either laid the stroller down all the way or changed them in a restaurant or store bathroom.. Bring changing pad covers!
and taxis, yes hold on your lap or if baby still fits in bjorn, you can put baby in that.

East River Ferry Ride. If you're coming in from LI, walk or take a cab/cross town bus to the 34th street pier. From there purchase a day pass (kids are free) and you can visit the LIC waterfront park (ferry is adjacent), for diaper changes there is a Food Cellar supermarket with a cafe and clean bathrooms and also the park should have restrooms.
You can then hop back on and ride down to DUMBO, visit the Brooklyn Ice Cream factory, the carousel, the sprinkler park...you can then either go back to 34th to end the day and enjoy the ride OR you can cotinue on to the last stop across the river to the south street seaport.
I like this itinerary so much I may do this with DS this weekend haha.

Definitely no car seat. I have boys and just changed them while they were standing.
FAO Schwarz Toys R Us American Girl Café Central Park Zoo Museum of Natural History Children's Museum of Manhattan
My 2yo also really loved riding the tram that goes from 58th St on the east side to an island in queens (think it is Roosevelt island?).
