NYC Restaurant help

Staying at the Pennsylvania Hotel with the kids in December, need some place really close for dinner that we can walk to holding the baby since I know strollers in a NYC restaurant is hell.

Wan't something good (we are foodies)

you just reminded me of a conversation i have with a chinese restaurant every.sigle.time :

me: one order of szechuan seafood dumplings
waitress: seafood dumplings, szechuan style?
me:

The reason I asked was I had never heard of it referred to as the Pennsylvania Hotel- I thought maybe there was another hotel in NYC called Pennsylvania Hotel vs Hotel Pennsylvania.

Yeah and I am still hopping there is a Penn Hotel. The Hotel Penn is not a place I would stay.

You can bring a stroller to NYC restaurants. People who live in the city do it all the time! You will usually just have to leave it up front with the hostess or they put it aside or in a coat room. I've brought my double stroller to plenty of NYC restaurants and never thought twice about it.

Not really a sit down restaurant, but look up The Pennsy - its a new food hall right above MSG/Penn, across from your hotel - might be good for an option with the kids

Stout is a big bar/restaurant around the corner from the hotel too. Good food. Big, noisy etc so might be ok with kids.

NYC Restaurant help

I live in NYC and bring my stroller to most restaurants. I sometimes call before to ask if we can bring the stroller to the table or need to fold it. My son is not in an umbrella stroller or in a high chair yet so keeping stroller at the table is critical.

I think Pennsylvania 6 would work. My brother-in-law lives across the street from it and we've taken my son before.

On the other hand, if you are a foodie, I'd suggest just taking baby in the carrier and going somewhere outside that area. Personally, I don't think there are really that many great restaurants that local to Hotel Penn.
