NY Police Defense Foundation

I was just wondering if anyone heard of NY Police Defense Foundation. I am searching BBB and found nothing. They keep calling the house (btw we are on the DO not call list) and getting snotty when we question them and do not want to contribute.

I saw their website but it could be legit or it could not be.

"charities" are exempt from the do not call list.

I don't usually donate anything when I get a call over the phone. I just tell them I am having a hard time making ends meet with a new baby and a mortgage. Sometimes I get sympathetic responses....sometimes they just hang up on me

I sometimes get hounded day after day by those folks, moreso law enforcement "charities"...they don't back off. Unfortunately a lot of those "charities" raise money, but very little goes to the actual cause.

I always tell them I can't commit over the phone, but they are more than welcome to send me reading materials.

I tell them my hubby is a cop and my CHARITY is his low salary and the cr@p he puts up with every night.
That shuts em up fast!
