Nursing Clothing- BTDT moms especially
Did any of you ladies buy nursing shirts/tops to go out in? OR did you just buy nursing bras and camis? I dont want to waste $ if its not a necessity and I dont know how this works really...
I plan to breast feed but I do plan to pump as well so it wont strictly be breast...
What do i need in terms of nursing clothing?
So far I have 2 camis, 1 tank top, 1 nursing pj set and 3 bras. 1 is for night time it doesnt offer a ton of support but is really comfy, 1 is a sports bra and 1 is a regular bra. Is that enough?

I would recommend one or two good nursing bras. As for clothing, you really just need to have access – so v-necks or shirts that cross over (I’m sure there’s a term for that, but I can’t think of it). I bought several nursing tops and found that I just wore my regular shirts.

I basically live in nursing tanks the first few months. If we're going out with the girls I wear a nursing bra under a regular shirt and just bring a coverup. But when home yup nursing tanks day and night. (I'm EBFing right now so always need easy, fast access! Lol)

I'm the odd man out, I hated nursing tanks (except for ones that just had stretchy necks, but I only have one of those becuase they were usually ugly) and usually wore the long and lean tanks from target with a nursing bra. I would just pull the neck down (I really don't nurse in public so I don't care if I'm whipping out a boob in my house). I really wear pretty normal clothes and just find a private place and lift my shirt up. If I'm in a dress I do make sure it's a v-neck or low cut/stretchy enough that I can still bf. I've never bout a nursing dress and only have one "real" nursing tank.

I never bought nursing shirts- but the nursing tank is awesome in the beginning. You get so big so a reg bra is uncomfortable. My fav was the one from motherhood- very stretchy but supports. I would just wear it under a regular shirt and use a cover. But b/c I had the tank on no one saw any back flesh sticking out from the cover.

This is what I did. Wrap tops and button-downs were great.

I wore the nursing tank tops underneath shirts. I never bought other nursing clothing.
